InDesign CC Library Panel freezing, inactive and stretches on expand like it's a flat jpeg

I heavily rely on the CC libraries for speed of CRE book productions. The CC library InDesign panel becomes inactive and freezes. When expanding the panel it streches like a flat jpeg. The troubleshooting either does not help or gives temporary relief for a couple hours tops. I shouldn't have to log in/out of Adobe to get the CC library panel to work for a limited amount of time.

    A temporary fix is to turn off Application Frame - which I hate because it creates another issue with my files opening too large but it stops the CC Libraries freezing.

    Please fix this as I prefer working with the Application Frame turned on.

    When I get the freezing, there is no rhyme or reason for it occurring. It usually happens about 20 mins after opening InDesign. Restarting the app is the only thing that resets it. It happens every single day - very annoying!

    This also affects Adobe Illustrator too, and turning off Application Frame on that fixes the problem.

      Still an issue for me, too. It’s very disruptive to workflow to have to stop, close all your files and restart the app to get the CC Libraries panel to work again. It’s disappointing that Adobe said a fix was in the works 7 months ago, but it’s still not working. I hope Adobe can fix it soon.

        Has there been a fix to this problem? I’ve had the same issue for several months and it’s so annoying to have to keep quitting the software (happens regularly in InDesign and Illustrator) in order for the libraries to work again.

            Has this been resolved. My library is still doing this, even with the latest upgrades.

              This just happened to me again, for like the third time. Library panel is completely unresponsive and if I try to adjust the window, it stretches as if it's a jpg that had been place on the page. It's bizarre. It's annoying. I'm sick of seeing it.

                Hello, we've recorded a ticket for this phenomenon of the panel stretching as you described. However, we need more information on how to replicate the issue. Are you able to reliably replicate the issue after restarting the app? Could you take a video of you starting the app and the steps you take that cause it to freeze?

                I have exactly the same issue. It occurs randomly and seemingly without me doing anything to cause the glitch. I run version 21.0.
