Libraries stops working, not usable, not clickable

It’s baffling that this is still an issue for so many of us. It’s been well over a year of running into this problem constantly. CC Libraries feels like a cornerstone integration for them, and yet it’s entirely unusable.

Same here. Illustrator getting worse after every update. Cant wait for a viable alternative to Adobe.

Same issues here, since updating to 2026 anytime I open a new document I need to completely quit InDesign and re-launch to get the CC libraries to free up. Now, after updating to MacOS Tahoe the Libraries do not show at all. Window is frozen and no assets show up. Completely unacceptable that this made it past and has taken so long to get fixed ​Adobe.

Our whole design team is experiencing freezing of our shared CC library multiple times a day, across all of our Adobe applications. This is causing significant workflow issues. We’re a Fortune 500 company and need our design tools to work reliably. This is a major malfunction of the software, and needs to be fixed immediately. We’re seriously considering looking at other options for design software at this point. 

Hey Adobe, please work on fixing current functionality issues and stop it with the AI. I will never need to add unicorns and rainbows on the moon but I do need my libraries to work. Every hour of every single day.

This happens very randomly on a random day. It’s actually quiet annoying when you need assets. Please fix this at the earliest. This concern has been usually persistent on every update since the last 3 Illustrator updates. Thank you.

I keep getting this problem too. Very frustrating and making my team of Adobe users look like a bunch of amateurs to our MS counterparts. Would be good to see this issue resolved ASAP.

Libraries are failing to update in the Library panel in After Effects  and the CC app.

Turn of ‘Application Frame’ and the CC Libraries stop freezing. It’s a temporary fix but at least it prevents you from having to keep restarting InDesign.

This has been happening with me too - ever since the 2026 updates - most frustrating as I use CC Libraries every day.
