I recently found a solution to a adobe stock problem that I had to deal with for months and even Adobe support couldn't help me, so here is the information.
If adobe stock has extremely long loading times, crahes when searching for images and you can hardly work with it because you can neither download previews nor license an image, then try deleting the library. I had more than 1,000 pieces of media stored in my library and that assumingly was the problem. Since I deleted it, everything has been working perfectly again.
