Stock jpeg is pixelated

I downloaded an Adobe Stock imagin (790825920). It is only allowed to download as a JPEG. When I'm using it in my files, it becomes pixelated quite easily. Are there other ways around this issue? I also tried to edit in Firefly, which also produced the same image quality.

I needed this image as posted in addition to with a transparent background.

Hello @JoAnn25326143pwc3, I'll send these details to be reviewed internally. Thank you for the report and sorry for the problem with the JPEG quality.

I would look into vector files. They are scalable, but you would need to have access to Adobe Illustrator in most cases. You can, however, also download a high-quality JPEG files or a PNG file if the asset contains a transparent background.

Nb: the vector graphic needs to be offered as PNG if a transparent background is mandatory. The fake transparency grid is of no help here.

Thank you - I searched for a vector of this one or a similar one and couldn't find one that was available. I will hopefully be able to work around this, as we were anticipating using these graphics for a package for a nonprofit event and all collateral.

As the image is marketed as a JPEG, there is no transparent background. JPEG files never include an alpha channel. If you need a file with a transparent background, you need either to edit the asset with an image editor like Photoshop, or you have to select an asset that is provided as PNG.

Checking the file that you attached, I saw severe quality issues, and the file is not up to the required Adobe stock quality standard and should as such have never entered the stock database.

Let's see if @Contributor1 concords with my findings.

yes, thank you! I removed the background myself and saved it as a PNG. I appreciate your feedback on the quality issues. I unfortunately have needed print and electronic versions of the documents I have been making, but didn't check it for quality sizing as it I thought it had been vetted before being approved. Thanks for your feedback.
