Adobe Express is not available. You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT admin...

I have the job of connecting Adobe Express Embed to a web application and have created a new Adobe account for this purpose. I followed these instructions. When calling the full editor according to this documentation, I always get the error Adobe Express is not available. You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT administrator to gain access.

I have been looking for a solution for hours. Without success. Even a new account did not provide a solution.

new.express.adobe.com works with my account. I was able to edit an image there. developer.adobe.com shows my Adobe Express project. Under "APIS" the "Adobe Express Embed SDK" is listed with my API key and under "Allowed Domain" my developer domain "localhost:44325". So everything looks correct there. adminconsole.adobe.com shows my user and developer, but no administrator. Therefore, I assume that my user/developer is already the administrator.

I ask for help, because I can't get any further.

If you still have issues, could you please send the API key to my email, njalal@adobe.com, so that I can investigate this further?

Please note that the project name you gave in the developer console must match the app name in your SDK initialization.
Here is a starter tutorial to help.

Thanks for responding Nimitha.  I managed to resolve the issue by changing the localhost in vite.config.js to the default setting found in the Express Add-ons/Your add-ons/add-on testing tab.

Hi @Reggieinseattle,

Thanks for the update — glad to hear you were able to resolve it by adjusting the localhost setting in your vite.config.js. If you run into anything else while testing add-ons in Adobe Express, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!

As a general recommendation and for future reference, we do monitor such discussions better in the dedicated Adobe Express Developers forum (used for both add-ons and Embed SDK). Thanks!!

July 25, 2025...having the exact same issue as in the original post.  I have an Adobe Express subscription through the Creative Cloud and get the "Adobe Express is not available. You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT administrator to gain access."  Has this been resolved?  Is there a fix for this yet?

Same problem here as well. We are a school. Students buy a subscription based on their private mail (gmail for example). They get this message while logging into Adobe Express. Express is also available for free, so it's weird that it does not allow to login. Help 🙂

Hello @Lyn_D

I am a student at UCF and am experiencing this same issue, I dont understand why this is happening as my plan states that Express is included in my plan. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I need to be able to use Express for my class.

@Lyn_D thank you for your message. However, nothing but 8000 works. I tried 3000 and it was still showing the same error message.

I know uploaded the code to my domain *.mydomain.com and I still see the error message

My code only works when the localhost is running on localhost:8000,

I added localhost:19006 to the Allowed domain list and it does not have an effect. The problem is with the allows domains section @Lyn_D

@Safa3848175493fr, Thank you for confirming adding localhost:19006 didn't make any difference.
I'm going to pass this on to get this investigated further and will get back to you as soon there is an update.
