Known Issue 8/17: Auto Captions not working

I uploaded my video that was 628mb. It stops st 95% then analyzes the video. Afterwards it stops at 16% and this pops up. I’ve tried every suggestions, incognito mode, cleared cache, tried safari and other browsers and I get the same result.

Thanks for your patience - the team was able to deploy a fix earlier today, and my hope is that you are all back up and running! I recommend clearing cache & cookies and then restarting Express!

I have not been able to generate captions in Adobe Express since last Thursday, August 13. Friday through today, my file uploads but never completes. It is stuck uploading the file. I tried this on both my Mac and iPhone.

Hi everyone - flagging this as a known issue so we can keep everything in one place.

We're aware that the Caption video tool is currently getting stuck when you upload a video - it hangs on the loading screen and never finishes captioning. This affects auto-captions specifically; other video tools like Trim and Merge are working normally.

It's a bug on our side, introduced by a recent update, so not anything to do with your file, your account, or your setup, so there's nothing you need to change or troubleshoot.

Worth separating out: this is different from the download and export slowdowns some of you saw over the weekend. That earlier one was a temporary service outage and has since been resolved. The Caption video hang is a separate issue, and it's still in progress.

Where things stand: our engineering team has identified the cause and a fix is on the way. I don't have an exact time yet, but I'll update this thread the moment it's live.

In the meantime, if you've run into this, feel free to reply here so we can keep the reports together! And subscribing is the quickest way to know when the fix lands. If captions start working again for you, a quick note here helps us confirm the rollout.

Ugh. now adding caption quick actions uploads to 95% then back to “uploading media” with no % just blue scrolling status bar- and never proceeds to analyzing. refunds needed if y’all cant fix this.

Hello there! I’ve been trying the past few days but uploading is still stuck on my end. I’ve tried doing the usual fixes, clearing cookies, cache, trying incognito etc but its just stuck uploading, there’s not even an error
