adfobe fire fly didnt do anything i asked it to do like litearally did nothing the promt asked

Like, literally did nothing. What the heck am I paying with credits for? It should only take out credits if you download the generation that way. If it generates trash, it doesn't cost us because it just used up 1000 credits for absolute trash. Guys, this is not acceptable. I'd rather take my chances elsewhere if this is what I'm paying for.

I am having this exact same issue, and it is becoming a costly exercise. I am specifically uploading a PNG file where the subject is already masked out on a white background. Despite all my attempts to find the right wording to strictly change only the background, Firefly still alters my main subject. I end up losing far too many generative credits on failed attempts, which feels incredibly frustrating on top of paying a regular Adobe subscription. Any help on where i am going wrong would be appreciated as Photoshop doesn’t generate the kind of images i’m after.

Hi @walrus44,

We’re sorry to hear you're running into this. I can understand how frustrating it is to spend credits on generations that don't produce the result you're looking for, especially when your goal is to preserve the main subject and only change the background.

When using Generative Fill or image-based generations, Firefly may still reinterpret or modify parts of the subject even when it's already isolated. To better understand what's happening, could you share:

Which Firefly feature you're using (Text to Image, Generative Fill, Scene to Image, etc.)?
An example of the prompt you're using to change the background?
Whether you're selecting only the background area before generating, or applying the prompt to the entire image?
A screenshot or screen recording showing the original image and the generated result?

The image I have masked is of my grandson so would prefer not to share that. I have tried using Text to Image and Generative Fill. The prompt itself works and creates great pictures however it either changes my grandson or leaves him completely out of the finished image. I have tried using Photoshop for this but the detail of the characters etc. just aren’t the same as Firefly, extra arms etc. are added. I am uploading a PNG file where i have masked the boy with a transparent background. I have tried loading this to Firefly and making no changes to the image as I can see it is on a transparent background. I have also used remove background (even thought it is already done) and it still changes the boy. The below prompt is the latest one I am using which generates great images but still with issues mentioned above. Sample image attached

i asked for anamorphic lens, wide shot of cargo ship, tiny against open pacific thunder clouds all around, what i got was tunnelvision from deck of oneship looking another and two thunderclouds both sides of view. nothing like what i asked. and eating credits like this is absolutely stealing
