Attempting to Edit Image using Removal Tool in Adobe Firefly 2.0 Flagged as Violating TOS

I was editing an image in Adobe Firefly, using the removal tool to remove a 6th finger that was generated on a hand.  This resulted in an incorrect violation of TOS and would not remove the finger.

I am using Firefly 2.0, and a Macbook Air using Sonoma 14.5

Yeah, it's dumb, I ran into this before and it's very frustrating.

The way to get around it is to extend out from the troubled section. I took out a small section of the background with the finger and it worked. Beware of selections that look like *cough* "hot dogs"  because it thinks you are trying to make something obscene lol!

Hello @Richard373308353igr,

Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem.

I tried it on your image and encountered the same error. Then I opened it in Photoshop beta, which also uses Model 3 and got the same error*. I marked them as incorrectly blocked. Then I selected the whole hand and selected Insert, using "five finger hand" as the prompt and got a redrawn hand with five fingers.

I can only speculate as to why it is blocked. What I suspect is it does not want to remove a finger because it does not want people to deform a hand (probably not realising it is deformed already and you are trying to fix it).

Always good to mark these inappropriately blocked and include the image if that is an optional checkbox.

Thanks,

*For completeness, Photoshop general release which uses Model 1 also had the same problem.
