To better understand the issue, please provide more details about your workflow and system setup. Which Firefly function were you using, and could you specify your Operating System (OS) and Browser (including version numbers)?
If possible, sharing a full‑screen recording of the behavior would also be very helpful.
In the meantime, please try another workaround: go to your Generation History tab, select the three dots in the upper‑right corner, and attempt to download the image from there.

When you say you could not download it, is that because the button was missing, or you pressed the button and got an error, or you pressed the download button and nothing happened.
Finally, please tell us the OS and browser you are using and their version numbers.
