Downloading images and videos on the firefly app on iphone does nothing. not sure where the image is going (if anywhere) but definitely not into my photos.  Thoughts?

Ok, thank you. If you go to the settings for privacy and security // photos, is there a line item for the Firefly app?  What version of iOS are you running?

I would next try deleting the firefly app and reinstalling it. Then try to download again.

Hi @imgaryshap74,

Check to see that the Firefly app has permission to write to photos, as I referenced above.

Hello @imgaryshap74,

Thank you for your message. It used to be that clicking on download would save to the Files rather than Photos. But that seems to have changed (for me) since the Firefly app was released. Are you using the Firefly iOS app?  If so, please make sure that you have allowed the Firefly app to have access to your photos. If you are not sure if you have or not, you can go to Settings // Privacy & Security // Photos and see if you have given it access.

What I see now is more like what I would expect from an iOS app:

If you are seeing something different, please show a screen shot and tell us what version of iOS you are running. I tried in the app, Safari, and Edge and this is the interface I saw on all of them.

My best,

yes, it’s the iOS app. the screen shot isn’t going to tell you anything. i basically hit the universal symbol for download and nothing happens. I have no idea where my file goes - if anywhere… I can only tell you that it is not going to my Photos app like every other app I own…

This seems to be a permission-related issue. Please follow the steps shared by our expert to grant Firefly access to the Photos on your device

Thanks.
