firefly ate my credit without generating anything

In the “Video editor (beta)”, I uploaded a starting frame and an ending frame, entered a text description, then click generate.

It went busy for minutes. Then when it is done, there is no video, no error message, but 400 credits are gone. Is there a way to get my credits back? This should be easily detectable (no output) on their end and should automatically return the credit.

The mode used was veo 3.1.

Firefly does this. It has been doing it for some time. I am currently watching a “blue circle spin” for a Veo 3.1 fast which has been “spinning” for around 10 minutes now. NOT fast. I will eventually close the page and I will have lost my credits. Personally, as much as I respect -and use- Adobe products, their video “arcade” (of video creators) is not ready for Prime Time. Just saying.

When generating remember to simply wait. There are times when generating takes more time than we expect.

Could you please reply with the following information:

• A screen shot of the whole browser or application window (including your avatar in the upper right corner) with the error or problem showing or when the problem is happening (not just the error message itself).

• What model were you using (such as Firefly Image 3, Firefly Image 4, Firefly Image 4 Ultra, Imagen 3, etc.)?

• A copy of the keyframe(s) or reference images (if any) you were using.

Could you provide a screenshot of an example of your image that is being rejected?

Political figures / Celebrities
if it has children or child like images (an absolute no/ firefly will not generate anything that even resembles a child/ even childlike)

or

- the prompt has words associated with children example: boy, girl, kid, kids, child, children and so on...
Many Generation Models will not generate anything to do with children.

Credits are deducted when you press generate. If the generation fails, they should be restored, but it is not necessarily instantaneous. Can you please double check to see if they have since been restored?

If not, can you please tell us what model you were using and the resolution and length. Did you happen to take a screen shot of the error?

Many Generation Models will not generate anything to do with children.

I no longer remember what I was generating. But pretty sure it was none of the common problems mentioned because the starting image was also generated by google or adobe.

I ran into a similar event a second time. This time the generating message is displayed for hours. Eventually the web page reported a time out error.

It can’t be very hard to add code to firefly to log an event when no video is produced but credits are taken.
