Firefly online: Photos created by Generative Fill are a bit blurry

I used the Generative Fill of the Firefly online version to increase the width of a photo. But the result is blurry.

Here is the original image I uploaded and edited (erased the red portion):

Here is the exported image, which is a bit blurry, especially the text and the foreground objects.

Hi @J E L ,

That makes sense.

So Ps must be able to factor in res within its gen engine then.

Happy making

Hi @IanYang, it could be a resolution problem.

Images can be downloaded from Adobe Firefly web app in the following formats: JPEG and PNG from the Text Effects and Text to Image features and SVG from the Generative Recolor feature and can have a maximum resolution of 2k x 2k.

If your original is larger than 2k x 2k, then it's probably going to look blurry.

Thanks for the heads up @IanYang ,

That needs to flagged with the FF team I guess.

@@mjYou can notice the difference by placing them in Photoshop as two different layers and then show/hide one of them.

I can't test Photoshop 2024's generative fill for this photo now because I only have Photoshop CS6. But I had trialed Photoshop 2024's generative fill before and I did not notice any blur.

Hi @IanYang ,

Difficult to see in the share.

Do you get the same results if you use Adobe Photoshop?
