Generative Fill is currently not working.

During the past week I've noticed that generative fill is not carrying out what it previously did on every occasion.  So, things like expansion of an image where I've created clear areas on either side, mask over them, it just creates areas that don't expand the image, so just large white borders or other visuals that have no relation to the image

@Derek32312858xgts, I think the new version of Firefly today fixes this problem. I have not been able to reproduce it with my testing of the new release today.  Please try again and let us know.  Also, they added generative expand to generative fill!  Thanks for your patience.

Thanks very much for getting in touch. I put in a random image and got it to expand it and the results were great. Then I resorted back to an image I repaired several months ago which had a lady standing against a wall. The bottom of the image was missing and when I originally ran ‘Generative Fill’ after a couple of attempts, it created her legs and missing wall section to a very high standard. So, I was intrigued to see how it might get on with the same pic. So, I had 2 versions of the pic. One was cropped at the top of her legs where the detail finished and the original with the bottom section missing.
Obviously the one I’d cropped I thought I’d try to simply ‘Expand’ it. It just dragged her coat down to the bottom of the pic. So, I’m not sure if it needs prompts. I tried 2 prompts but ti no avail. The other original I just did the old fashioned way I did previously and just filled it in. One result had a little bit of new leg, but the majority of the lower end of the pic was still just blank. I tried it again, but the same.
I think since the problems started I’ve obviously used a lot more of my paid credits so I didn’t want to use them all up trying.
I’m sure I can work around it all. I’d imagine I’ll use more credits just building up pics as opposed to how it used to be, but of course it’s still something I’ll be using.
Thanks for taking the time to mail me👏👏

There have been reports of degraded results using generative fill since the recent update. Adobe is aware of this problem, but has not advised here when they expect it will be fixed. Please thumbs down these images and mark them as distorted/unexpected content/not relevant to prompts/poor quality and provide additional feedback:

I am not sure if you have access to Photoshop, but if you do, its generative expand/fill does not seem to be having these issues.
