just to add to what ​@droopydog500 mentioned, have a look in you Creative Cloud app. Your creative cloud app is the most reliable spot to find your generation history. 
 

How to reliably download your files
In your Adobe Creative Cloud you can find your files there and download them. Here s a short video showing the steps

Are you saying when you navigate here, you cannot see any generations? It is blank?

If so, can you take a screen shot and show us what you see?
