I can’t generate videos with Seedance 2.0 in Adobe Firefly.

Exactly as the title says.

I can’t generate anything once I add a reference image.

I’ve already made sure the reference image resolution doesn’t exceed 2000 px, but it still doesn’t work.

At this point, I’m losing something far more valuable than credits: my own time.

I’m done with this fxxkin Firefly. I’m switching to Higgsfield.

    Hey @C-SUI

    Help us. Help you.

    We want to assist you and help resolve the challenges you are encountering. When things are not working as expected it is frustrating.
    Could you provide more information to proceed. Without the requested information it is difficult to assist you resolve the issue.

    Steps to take
    This behaviour has been caused by interference from browser extensions in the past (such as ad blockers). Can you try in private browsing/incognito mode or in another browser as a test?

    Could you create a full screen video of your workflow showing us what is happening? This would help considerably.

    Provide your prompt and reference image(s) if there are any?

    Which model(s) are you using?
    Consider clearing cache, cookies, and using a different browser.

    Could you give us more information: what msg are you receiving? Are the images your own photos/ images? Were the images generated by another AI Source, if so which one(s)?
    >>Make sure to remove person details: email address, name... before posting<<

    Cheers

    ■ Issue

    When using SeaDance 2.0 in Adobe Firefly, video generation fails whenever reference images are added.

    However, using the same environment and the same model, video generation works normally when no reference images are attached.

    Based on the troubleshooting results below, the issue appears to be related to the handling, uploading, processing, or transfer of reference images within Adobe Firefly.

    ■ Computer

    MacBook Pro 2021
    Apple M1 Max

    ■ OS

    macOS 26.6.2 (25G83)

    ■ Browsers Tested

    ・Arc
    Ad blocker installed

    ・Safari
    No ad blocker

    The same issue occurs in both browsers.

    ■ Reference Images Used

    @Image1
    ManilaからBontocまでの大まかな移動方向と地理関係の参考。
    道路形状そのものではなく、「Manilaからルソン島を北上し、Cordillera山岳地帯のBontocへ到達する」という位置関係だけを使用する。
    映像内のルートは、実際の道路を精密に再現するのではなく、映像として自然な一本の滑らかな簡略ルートにする。

    @Image2
    ルソン島全体の形状、Manilaと北部地域の位置関係、広域衛星視点の参考。
    Manilaから上昇した後の広域地形表現に使用する。

    @Image3
    Manilaの開始地点、都市密度、港、河川、平坦な巨大都市圏の参考。
    映像冒頭のManila上空シーンに使用する。

    @Image4
    Bontocの街、河川、谷、周辺地形の位置関係の参考。
    最終到着地点の地理構造に使用する。

    @Image5
    Bontoc周辺の険しい山岳地形、深い谷、山に囲まれた街の立体感、斜め上空からの3D地形表現の参考。
    Bontocへの接近と最終到着シーンに使用する。

    @Image6
    10秒全体のストーリーボード。
    時間構成、カメラの進行、構図の変化、平地から山岳地帯への変化、ルートラインの進行を決める最優先の構成資料として使用する。
    各コマを別々のカットとして再現するのではなく、一つの連続したカメラ移動として自然につなげる。

    【生成する映像】

    10秒間のシネマティックな旅ドキュメンタリー映像。

    リアルな衛星写真と高精細な3D地形表現を使い、
    ManilaからBontocまで長距離移動した距離感と、

    巨大都市 Manila
    → ルソン島を北上
    → 平地から山地へ変化
    → Cordilleraの険しい山岳地帯
    → Bontoc到着

    という環境変化を、一続きの空撮カメラ移動で見せる。

    地図アプリの画面ではなく、実在する地形の上空を実際に高速で旅しているような映像にする。
    地形、海岸線、都市、山脈の位置関係とスケールを自然に維持する。

    【0.0〜1.5秒|MANILA】

    @Image3を基準にする。

    Manila上空の比較的近い斜め3D衛星視点から開始。
    巨大な都市圏、港、河川、建物の密集感、平坦な地形が分かる。

    カメラは完全静止ではなく、ごくゆっくり前進している。

    シンプルで控えめな地点ラベル「MANILA」を表示する。

    【1.5〜3.2秒|上昇】

    @Image2と@Image6を基準にする。

    カメラが滑らかに加速しながら高高度へ上昇する。

    Manilaの都市スケールから離れ、
    ルソン島とManilaから北部へ続く地理関係が理解できる広域視点へ移行する。

    単純な画像ズームではなく、
    3D空間を実際に上昇している強い奥行き感を作る。

    【3.2〜5.2秒|北上開始】

    @Image1、@Image2、@Image6を基準にする。

    Manilaを起点に北方向への移動を開始する。

    細く控えめな暖かみのある白色のルートラインが、
    カメラの進行に合わせてManilaから前方へ徐々に伸びていく。

    ルートは一本のみ。
    @Image1の大まかな移動方向を使い、滑らかで視認性の高い簡略ルートとして表現する。

    カメラもルートとともに北上する。

    【5.2〜7.2秒|平地から山地へ】

    @Image1、@Image2、@Image6を基準にする。

    北上を続けながら、
    巨大都市と平地から、郊外、農地、丘陵、山地へと景観が自然に変化する。

    移動するほど地形の高低差を大きくし、
    Manila周辺と北部山岳地域の環境差を明確にする。

    ルートラインは細く控えめなまま維持し、
    主役は地形と高速で移動するカメラ。

    【7.2〜9.3秒|BONTOC接近】

    @Image4、@Image5、@Image6を基準にする。

    Cordilleraの険しい山岳地帯へ進入する。

    高い山、深い谷、複雑な尾根が前方に大きく迫ってくる。

    カメラは前進速度を維持しながら高度を下げ、
    山々の間を進むようにBontocへ高速接近する。

    山の重なり、谷の深さ、地形の高低差、強いパララックスによって、
    平地から山岳地帯へ入ったことを明確に感じさせる。

    【9.3〜10.0秒|BONTOC到着】

    @Image4と@Image5を基準にする。

    山に囲まれたBontocへ到達する。

    街、川、谷、周囲の険しい山岳地形が同時に分かる斜め上空の3D構図。

    高速移動していたカメラを滑らかに減速させ、
    目的地へ到着した感覚を作る。

    シンプルで控えめな地点ラベル「BONTOC」を表示して終了する。

    【映像表現】

    Photorealistic satellite imagery.
    Realistic high-detail 3D terrain.
    Cinematic travel documentary.
    Natural geographic scale.
    Strong depth perception.
    Smooth continuous aerial camera movement.
    Natural acceleration and deceleration.
    Realistic atmospheric depth.
    Subtle and restrained map graphics.

    画面上の情報表示は地点ラベル「MANILA」「BONTOC」と、
    一本の細い暖色系ホワイトルートラインだけで構成する。

    ルートラインは補助的な要素として扱い、
    カメラ移動、距離感、都市から山岳地帯への地形変化を映像の主役にする。

    ■ Troubleshooting Performed

    1. Used Arc with the ad blocker disabled
      Result: No improvement

    2. Switched to Safari with no ad blocker
      Result: No improvement

    3. Used Arc in private/incognito mode
      Result: No improvement

    4. Used Safari in private browsing mode
      Result: No improvement

    5. Generated the video without any reference images
      Result: Generation works successfully

    ■ Current Findings

    Changing browsers, disabling ad blockers, and using private/incognito browsing does not change the behavior.

    However, when all reference images are removed, video generation works normally.

    Therefore, in my environment, adding reference images is clearly the condition that causes video generation to fail.

    I cannot determine from the user side whether the underlying cause is the Adobe Firefly image upload system, image analysis process, SeaDance 2.0 integration, reference-image transfer process, or another backend component.

    ■ Request to Adobe

    At this point, you should already be aware that there is a problem somewhere in the reference-image upload or processing pipeline.

    I have tested multiple browsers, disabled ad blockers, used private browsing, and confirmed that generation works when reference images are removed.

    I have been dealing with essentially the same problem since August 20, 2026.

    Please investigate and fix the reference-image functionality as soon as possible.

    If SeaDance 2.0 is advertised as being available through Adobe Firefly, users should be able to use its supported reference-image workflow reliably.

    If this is a known issue, please clearly provide:

    ・The confirmed cause
    ・The affected environments or users
    ・Any available workaround
    ・The expected fix or resolution status

    At the moment, the feature is effectively unusable for my intended workflow despite being presented as available in Adobe Firefly.

    Hi @C-SUI,

    Thanks for taking the time to provide such detailed troubleshooting information, and I'm sorry for the frustration this has caused. I understand how disruptive it can be when generations fail repeatedly, especially after you've already spent significant time testing different configurations.

    To help us investigate further, could you please confirm:

    • Do all reference images trigger the failure, or does the issue occur only when multiple images are uploaded together?
    • Have you tried using a single reference image to see if generation succeeds?
    • Does the same behavior occur with other Firefly video models, or only with SeaDance 2.0?
    • At what stage does the failure occur? For example, during upload, processing, queueing, or generation.
    • Are you receiving any specific error message, error code, or "Can't generate" notification?
    • If possible, could you share a screenshot or screen recording of the error state?

    As a few troubleshooting steps, you may also want to try:

    • Using JPEG versions of the reference images instead of PNG files.
    • Testing with fewer reference images (one or two at a time).
    • Trying smaller file sizes where possible, even if the dimensions are already under 2000 px.
    • Disabling browser extensions in Arc and testing in a private/incognito session

    Regards,

    Tarun
