Image disappearing in Generative Fill when I download it

I've just being using the Generative Fill feature and was editing an image, and after I'd removed a few bits from the image I generated a new background. After choosing my favourite from the 4 options, I clicked on 'Keep' and then downloaded the image. I was going to continue working on it but as soon as I downloaded it, it disappeared from the screen, leaving me with a blank box. I clicked on "background" and then I was taken back to the login screen, then automatically logged straight back in.
