Please tell us what OS and browser you are using and the version numbers. I have seen this before on unsupported browsers and would to see if that is the issue here or not.

I am able to make the selection before the first generation:

Can you please show a screen shot of what you are seeing on the first generation where you cannot change the aspect ratio?  Also, please tell us what OS and browser you are doing?
