Paper texture varies in same render....

Paper texture varies in same render, not to mention between different renders. This image is a typical example of a section of 4 images from the same render using the watercolour technique and I put "smooth paper" in my prompt. I have previously been advised to combine sections of different images together to achieve the desired result but how can I when the overall effect varies so much? Wouldn't it be better to let me apply my own texture later?

Because of the probablistic nature of the models, you will probably never consistently get four great images per generation.  I also use NightCafeStudio and sometimes generate 16 images in a generation, and none of them are good.

But look at your paper texture in the second image @droopydog500! That suggests that this too is hit and miss. I'm wasting an awful lot of time and credits trying to work around fundamental limitations like this, things that should be so simple. But I do appreciate your help trying to get to grips with this because when it works, Firefly is awesome for me, although I really miss the option to omit some of the daft flags and mountains I have to contend with.

The other possibility is to generate the paper first and use that as a style reference.  Like this:

plain white sheet of cotton bond paper

Which then generated (red rose in purple vase )
