Recolor vectors is ignoring linework

So, by users discovery we notice that "recolor vector" is ignoring vector linework. 

Could this be improved?

    Hello! just wondering if anyone figured this out? This is what happens when I upload the vector. It colors the lines not the little boxes within the grid lines.
