The expense of using faulty Adobe products

Firefly nust be an incredibly lucrative source of revenue. Being charged for misunderstood text prompts makes the service unaffordable for students or those of us who are learning Firefly, I have many times been misunderstood, or through jy fault, have not communicated effectively. To be charged hundreds of credits each time an edit is made will force me out of the Adobe system when it comes to AI. I have been using AI products for decades without complaint. I hope you hear me on this one.

In many ways I agree, there is a lot of trial and error involved. I remember having a dial up modem and getting frustrated over having to wait for things to connect and work. Or the first mobile phone and hearing someone else’s conversation. AI image generation is still in it’s early stages.

The community is here to assist and provide support. There is Adobe Live, Firefly Discord, and multiple social channels for users to ask Qs and support.

There are models and options available to reduce your credit usage while experimenting. - like Google Veo 3 fast (only 80 credits). Any current AI video model will be more expensive than generating images and whether using tokens or credits, does mean a steep learning curve.

A lot of examples users see are not straight out of the box results, similar to when you see a trick shot in a video - it really wasn’t the first time lucky, the author took multiple tries and failed before they got the trick correct and posted the final result. Its the same with AI generation including video. There is some inherent trial and error to get the exact results.

AI video generation is nascent and will have issues but giving clear concise prompting will help negate some of the faults. You could try using a chat AI to generate a descriptive prompt to use in Firefly to gain better results.
