trying to modify the audio and it is using up my credits, but not changing the audio at all.

First Prompt: A beautiful mom, dressed in a cozy sweatshirt, walks down a lit-up street with her two kids for trick or treating. add sound of children laughter and "trick or treat" in the background.

Then went to edit video because the Mom’s voice becomes all creepy as she sounds like the daughter.

Second Prompt: remove the little girl's voice saying "Let's go to that house next." replace it with the mom's voice say "Let's go to that house next!" This change matches the voice with the person speaking.

No change. Created exact same video.

Third Prompt: The voices don't match the person speaking. Please fix this so the voices match the person speaking.

No change. Created exact same video.

Fourth Prompt: remove the voices. add Halloween festive background music.

No change. Created exact same video.

Each prompt charged me 500 - 800 credits for no changes.

When it comes to adding voices, I would use FF Audio. You can add sound effects, music, and many other things to make your Halloween special.
The downside is you would need to add the voice over in Adobe Express.

Adobe Express it is a free App with paid options. There are many wonderful features like animating text, changing the colour, size, font, and much more.

Based on your description, it sounds like Firefly is not applying the requested video edits correctly. You tried several different editing prompts, including changing the speaker's voice, correcting voice attribution, and removing dialogue entirely, yet each generation produced essentially the same output while still consuming credits. That definitely isn't the experience we'd want you to have.

Which Firefly video model were you using when performing these edits?
Did each edited version generate as a new video, or did it appear to be an exact duplicate of the original video?
Are you able to provide screenshots of the edit prompts and the resulting videos?
Does this happen with other videos as well, or only with this specific Halloween-themed clip?
