What's with the beards?

No matter how I craft the prompt I can't seem to get a clean shaven portrait of a man. I've tried 5-6 variations on the prompt and get the same result. What is the secret??

(one of the sample prompts) "Hyper realistic, high resolution, super detailed portrait of middle aged and clean-shaven (no facial hair) Caucasian man taken with Canon R3 and 85mm lens outside in Nature with a blurry background."

I'm using the new Firefly Image 3 in Safari on a Mac… all current versions.

Same thing, no matter what I prompt 95% of Men have beards.

clean shaven, facial hairless, beardless, shaved... - does not work!

Yeah, I am struggling with this too. The model needs to be fixed on this issue.

What the hell is going on? I made it as simple as I could and got this…

"Portrait of middle aged, clean-shaven male and a blurry background."

Thanks for digging that up. I thought it might be the issue but for me it's getting worse. Take a peek at the screen capture. I tried adding "bare face" and "smooth face" in successive prompts and got nothing but beards. So I simplified the prompt and now it's totally ignoring the words "man" and "Caucasian."

I'm starting to wonder if it's the commas and how each adjective starts to stack is confusing the AI engine.

Wow.

@media mogul11452452, there is definitely some weird bias towards beards. It has been around for a while. I had a prompt that was generating 50-50 no beards. I will try to find it tomorrow morning.

Thanks. That's why I added to my original post by saying I tried without that phrase and still can't seem to get a clean shaven image. (See the screen cap in my 2nd post)

Hello @media mogul11452452 ,

Thanks for your message. Saying "no <something>" does not work. The model does not understand a word or concept being negated by a preceding word. You have to use an antonym of the word you are trying to eliminate. In this case, "clean face", "shaven face" or something like that.

I even removed the phrase "no facial hair" to keep a positive prompt and still get this…
