Question

when it cannot render an image and displays the "Something went wrong" message, it deducts the credits and does not render the image nor replace the debited credits. This happened many times last month.

    Hi TopangaCreek,

Thank you for writing to us about this.

In Firefly credits are deducted once you hit Generate, but if the generation fails due to an error, those credits are automatically returned to your balance.

To make sure everything is working correctly, I ran a test on my side and triggered an error on purpose. I captured my credit balance before generating, during the loading phase, and after the error, and each time the credits were restored.

Before generating - 6478 credits left
During the loading phase - 6078 credits left (400 deducted)
After the error - 6478 credits left (400 credits restored)

You can also review your own credit usage by going to Your Stuff > Generation history, selecting All, and sorting by Date created. This will show every generation along with the number of credits consumed, so you can compare it with your remaining balance.

If you’re still certain that some credits were permanently deducted after an error, please share the date(s) of those failed generations. I can escalate this to the team so they can verify your credit usage.

Let me know, and we’ll take it from there.
