where i enter my own prompt for generative fill on firfly

Could you share a screenshot of the problem you are encountering?

Firefly is working here:
1) Open Firefly as you would
2) Describe the image you are looking to create and press generate.

2nd Method | Basically same just a bit different
Press the big box that says "Fast Mode"

That will take you to this page
1) I suggest turning off "Fast Mode"
2) Type in your prompt and generate images
