Clicking 'Use Maximum Render Quality' resets Output Name

If you set a custom output name in media encoder, and then click the check mark for 'Use Maximum Render Quality', the custom name is reset back to whatever it was originally.

This is particularly unhelpful as the Output Name appears first so if you're going down the list setting all of your output settings, and then check 'Use Maximum Render Quality', you may not realise that the Output Name has been reset.

Still not able to repro. Do you have access to another machine to do an additional check with your ptoject?

@EckiAME to send the video to Media Encoder, I'm clicking on the 'Export' tab in Premiere Pro and clicking 'Send to Media Encoder'.

In terms of filters, I'm using basic lumetri scopes on an adjustment layer, I have some fade-ins and fade-outs, and a basic After Effects composition with a vector logo animation, although I'm not sure if the contents of the timeline affects Media Encoder's behaviour.

So you are adding in a Premiere Pro sequence in AME. Which of the ways do you use: Do you drag project into queue from Finder? Do you use Media Browser? Do you use menu item?

Are there any specifics to the Premiere Pro sequence (specific filters, effects, formats, …) used that we need to know in order to repro?

No I'm definitely having this issue in the Media Encoder export window. However, just noting that the file I'm exporting is a Premiere Pro Sequence that I have sent to Media Encoder.

So you are talking about Premiere Pro Export Panel and not Adobe Media Encoder Export settings?

Could it be something to do with the fact that these are videos coming from Premiere?

I just reinstalled Media Encoder and get the same issue. Not sure what to do going forward!

That is really very weird. We tried on two M2 Pro machines and it did not repro either for us.

Hi,

No UI adjustments or plugins or anything! Just stock standard Media Encoder with the latest update.

Also nah, no custom preset, just selected the usual H.264 Adaptive High Bitrate but shows custom as I'm rendering my 4K video out as Full HD and specificing a VBR 2 pass encode at 10 and 15 to get the filesize down.

You seem to have a custom preset. Can you share it? Thanks!
