New version of Media Encoder cannot import AVI files with MJPEG codec

Can you provide your specs (AME version, OS, CPU, GPU, memory) and a sample file that exposes your issue for us to look into your issue? There are many, many AVI flavors. I can private message you the instructions in this forum if you are able and willing to share.

I just updated Adobe Media Encoder to Version 43.3 (build 49) When importing .AVI files (30 minutes or less) it Takes FOREVER, then even LONGER to Trim... nearly impossible !!! I have to use Xmedia Recode, export it out to MPEG at which point it goes right in Media Encoder instantly.  The last version 23 imported the AVI file in no time flat..... I NEED HELP! Anyone know what's going on. I also tried importing the 30 min AVI clip directly into a timeline in Adobe Premier Pro with same result. How can I get this to speed up ?!!! 

Which version did last work with your file format? Can you provide a sample file?

This is great that it works on your device. But I do not work with your device. I work on PC in Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.2448. And the latest AME wich works with MJPEG AVI is 23.3.

I just retested. Your file correctly imports and transcodes in Adobe Media Encoder 23.6.0.62 on my Surface Book 3 with Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2 and Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.2201.1000.0.

I just updated AME 23.6 to check if problem was solved. NO, the problem was not solved. AME is still freezing on import of AVI MJPEG files.
