Problem exporting texture images

it looks like the issue is not only for GLB, I guess that for OBJ, GlTF and FBX it's the same.

Viewer export the geometry but can't generate the pictures of the textures...

when you extract the glb the ressource folder is empty.

when you export the OBJ, the MTL is ok, but no link to textures and no textures are generated...

Only USD looks working

Many Thanks

Were you using the destop app for this? If so, you can do this by going to Help> open log folder. From there choose the newest file from today that ends in .txt. It should also have the word log at the end of the file name. The GLB and CAD file you were using where they assets you made in Maya, Blender, AutoCAD etc? Could you attach the assets you were using to test this like the cube.glb file?

I've merged the related threads, thanks for expanding the details.

Sounds like all of the export formats may not be doing texture generation correctly.  We'll take a look at this area.

Hi JM Le Goff,

Thanks again for commenting on this. I'm sorry that this going on for you. When you say Pb, I'm guessing you are mean Photoshop Beta? Could take a screenshot of what or video of what you are referring to? The assets you are testing, are how were they created/authored (Maya, Blender, donloaded from online, etc)

For any reason, I can review a scene exported in GLB.
This happen in "windows V3D viewer" in OneDRive and also in BabylonJS

I can't send the asd and the glb files here but I can do it via PM

and 2 screen captures of what I see trying opening the glb in OneDrive v3D viewer or in "sandbox.babylonjs.com"

Many Thanks

Hi JM Le Goff, thanks for commenting, I had a couple of questions so I can better help you:

  • Did you mean you can't review a scene exported in GLB?
  • Was the cube made in Substance 3D Viewer and then you exported it as a GLB?
  • Are you getting the same error when are trying to open the ASD file?
  • The files would be helpful to see, are you not able to attach it to this forum post or are they personal assets you don't want everyone to see?

I appreciate you posting here and giving videos.
