Unable to import 3D Model "because the file was not found"

  1. Version of the app
    26.2.0

  2. Platform and OS version
    macOS 15.0.1

  3. Basic steps to reproduce the problem

    I am following this tutorial:

    https://helpx.adobe.com/substance-3d-viewer/using/photoshop-3d-intro.html#:~:text=In%20Photoshop%20(beta)%20app%3A,accessible%20from%20the%20Layers%20panel.

I can not get past step 1. As soon as I drop in the sample file provided (Green_headphones.usdz) I get this error:

Could not place "Green_headphones.usdz" because the file was not found.

I get the same error if I try to import one of my own 3D objects.

  4. Expected result and actual result

It should import the file, but it doesn't

I need the log file at the very least to have a better understanding of what is going on.

Hi @Greg Mulvey, I apologize that this is happening to you. Could you do this again and when the error message pops up can you attach a log file to this post so I can have a look at it? You can get to the log file by going to help>open log folder> it's the .txt file that was created today. If you could also send a screenshot that would help a lot.

Do you know what version of the viewer you are using?
