26.3 update slows down Advanced 3D Renderer

The same scene that took 45 minutes to render in 26.2.1 now takes 2 hours with the same settings, objects and lighting setups. I even made sure Depth of Field is turned off.

Also, light objects in the preview tab cause the project to crash. Had to hide them from the preview.

Hi HieuVu97, thanks for the report. A 45-minute scene taking 2 hours after a point update is a serious performance regression.

To escalate this properly, a few details would help:

    1. Your system specs: CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version.

    2. Your GPU driver version.

    3. Is the slowdown in preview, final render, or both?

    4. A sample project (with media) that shows the 45min vs 2hr difference would be invaluable for engineering. Feel free to DM me a link if you'd rather not share publicly.

In the meantime, if you need to finish work on a deadline, rolling back to 26.2.1 via Creative Cloud is a valid workaround until this is addressed.

I'll flag this to the engineering team once I have the details. Looking forward.

    Thanks,

    Nishu

    1. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5800H, GPU is a Laptop spec 3070 RTX, 32 GB of RAM and latest version of Windows 11.
    2. My GPU driver is also the latest one, I think the version number is 610.62 with a clean install via DDU.
    3. Slowdown in the final render.
