Adobe After Effects 2023 23.2.1 crashes at launch after attempting to load Smart Mask Interpolation

No updates were downloaded, and after effects used to work pretty well up until recently. the only out of ordinary thing I did was uninstall and reinstall adobe again with no issues when reinstalled but now it seems to refuse to run after the launch.

    I checked task manager and it would suspend itself out of nowhere. Do I have to install another version?

    Hi, sorry AE is still refusing to launch. You don’t necessarily need to install another version right away. If you need to keep working, you can check Creative Cloud > After Effects > Other versions for another version available to install alongside it.

    Could you share your operating system and try starting AE in Safe Mode? If it still suspends, please share any crash report or error message you see. Also, let us know your system specifications.
