Adobe Illustrator File not importing to After Effecst 2025.3

Hi All,

I have an RGB, multi-layered Illustrator file which will not import into After Effects, 2025.3 on Mac. Nothing happens when I go through the import; basically, the file does not import and is not visible in After Effects.

I have sequenced layers in Illustrator (each layer on its own)

File is RGB

I have no additional artboards

I have pressed the PDF-compatible file on export

I have used this file many times before (with my students, never had a problem).
