AE 23.4 Animation presets not respecting separated dimensions.

AE 23.4.0
Windows10

When applying an animation preset to a layer, the .ffx historically sets the dimensionsSeparated property of the target layer when it is required to property apply the preset. AE 23.4 now fails to do this.
Steps to reproduce:
  1. create a solid
  2. separate position dimensions
  3. add a key to x, y, positions
  4. select properties and Save Animation Preset and save file.
  5. create a new solid with non-separated dimensions.
  6. Apply new preset. It will fail to take effect.
Attempting on an earlier release will properly separate dimensions to the target layer to apply the preset.

Hi all,

A fix for this bug was included with After Effects 24.2 in February 2024. If you continue to see animation presets failing to apply to layers with separated (or combined) dimensions, please let us know.

Thanks again for reporting this issue,

Hi @MikeOverbeck,

A fix for this issue is now available in Beta builds. When applying a preset, the layer's Position will be combined or separated automatically according to what the preset was saved with. Please give the Beta a try and let us know if the behavior is what you expected.

Cheers,

Any update on this? This is still an issue in version 23.6
