AE 25.1 locks up as soon dialogue box is opened

SYSTEM: M2 ultra mac on OS 15.1.1

APP Version: After Effects 25.1

ISSUE: Any dialogue box - opening comp settings or even saving - causes AE to lock up. Boxes will not disappear unless you force quit. Also comp consisting of shape layers and native plug-ins opens but no picture visible.

TRIED: resetting preferences, starting in safe mode, uninstalling plugins.

FIX: downgrade to 25.01.

I experience the same issue (among others) in both 25.01 and 25.1 Comps are not complex, no 3D.

2021 MacBook Pro with M1 Max, 64 Go of RAM, MacOS 15.3

Sorry, not sure I replied correctly? The issue occurs in all projects. Have tested in new project. As soon as I created a new comp and tried to change the comp settings the issue appeared.
