AE crashes when adding extra points to an already-created Roto Bezier shape when at 800% zoom level.

 

The crash usually occurs after adding 2 or more additional points using the CMND+OPTION+Click shortcut.

ver 2023.2.1.  Mac OS. Monterey 12.5.1
Expected result: New point added to an existing mask shape.

Result: AE crashes. App automatically quits.

      Issue is still present in AE 2024.

      Hi @Lee24564969faht,

      Thank you for reporting this issue. When After Effects has crashed, have you been able to submit any crash reports with your email address? The crash reports are very helpful to us as we're trying to identify the cause of the crash.

       

      Does the crash also occur in the latest 24.0.2 version of After Effects? I attempted to add points to a Roto Bezier shape at 800% zoom in the latest Beta builds, but I did not encounter a crash, so it's possible that this has already been fixed in the latest version.

       

      If the crash is still occurring for you in the latest version, would you be able to share a screen recording of the steps that lead to the crash?

        Note: The crash sometimes will happen after beyond this number of added points. But seldomly goes beyond 10 extra points added before AE self quits.
