AE freezes when I try to collect dependencies

I click collect dependencies and the spinning wheel comes on, and nothing happens. I've restarted and nothing happens I wish I could just go to an older AE that works but that's not possible. I'm on Windows, a really fast machine.

 

This is a serious problem. I need to get this project onto another drive to send to someone. on a tight deadline.

That actually worked, I just deleted the c4d file since I didn't need it. Thanks!

There is an issue in 23.3 where collecting files will hang if the project contains a Cinema 4D file. This is fixed in the beta builds and will be fixed in 23.4. 

If you can't use the beta, go back to 23.1 and do the collect files from that version.

Also, when I go to reduce project it deletes everything but one layer. and there are about 140 assets in this project and I'm using about 70 percent of them so there's something really wrong going on.

 

I just updated to 23.3 but I'm still having the issue. I've tried logging in as guest and another user and the issue is still occurring
