AE is killing my RAM and requesting 190GB RAM

Hi, 

I have a user who keeps having the System crash. 
After Effect, even when not in use but open, is taking 190GB of RAM... 
The MacBook, An M4 Max with 36 GB of RAM, is coping with the high demand, but when it reaches 190GB RAM, the system crashes (obviously) 

 

What to do? 

she has installed After effect 25.1.0

    Sorry for the issue. Try creating a new project and import the comp from the old comp to the new project. What happens? Let us know.
