Ae keeps uninstalling

Ae uninstalls almost everytime I turn my computer on and off or will break constantly whilst app or even just PC is in use causing me to need to uninstall and reinstall Ae and the media encoder.

 

I've been making stuff in Ae almost all day and have had to uninstall and reinstall 3 times. 

 

This is a problem that has persited since I used the free trial and madfe me consider cancelling. Thought it might get better it hasn't but now I'm too invested in this software lol.

Hmm, those are the two most likely culprits. If neither are the case, it could be tricky to figure this one out. Can you check your Activity Monitor to verify you don't have any unrecognized background apps running?

This tool has solved many unexplainable issues for me in my many years of using AE.

Hi @Kian36492799dkbs and @Kieren Smith ,

 

Are either of you on corporate machines or do you have anti-virus or anti-malware protection installed? I've seen this happen before on machines where software gets improperly flagged and is being removed by certain software.

That's not ideal. Do you see any error messages when you turn on your computer or is After Effects just gone without leaving any trace? Could you let us know about your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? Any antivirus installed?
