AE replaces the incorrect audio from wrong files when rendering

DO NOT use identical filenames even in Different folders for linked assets in Adobe. Apparently Adobe is so broken it caches the filenames and can/does accidentally randomly replace them in wrong places during the render (happened with mp3 VO files with identical filenames).

    Hi, thanks for the report.

A few details that would help us understand the issue better:

    1. Your exact AE version (Help > About).

    2. Roughly the steps that reproduce it: were both MP3 files imported in the same project, or was one imported and the other referenced later? Any specific action that triggered the swap (render, save-and-reopen, replace footage)?

    3. Does it reproduce reliably, or intermittently?

    4. Is it happening only on macOS? Have you tested it on Windows?

Let me know what you can share and I'll get this in front of the team.

    Thanks,

    Nishu
