aerender fails on comps containing certain footage

This might be a bit obscure, but for anyone using aerender for command line rendering  ( AE 25.2.2 on Mac OS 15.5 )

In certain cases, if a comp includes a footage layer (so far witnessed with mp4, but perhaps other kinds of footage have the same issue), although the comp can be rendered fine from the render queue, it fails when using aerender in the command line.  No error message is reported, or "layer has no source" is reported.  However, if I turn on the -v ERRORS_AND_PROGRESS flag, the render completes normally.

Seems like a bug

What codec is the mp4 file using? Does the machine where aerender is running on have a full license or a render only license?

"layer has no source" is an indication that a piece of footage associated with a layer in the comp couldn't be loaded. I'd check to make sure the project is fully loading and than the account AE is running under has the correct permissions to the footage. Maybe your command line is running as an admin vs. AE itself runs as a restricted user?
