After Effects 2025 on macOS does not enter native Full Screen mode when clicking the green window button.

Hi gaurang, on macOS, After Effects doesn't use the native full-screen mode. Instead, it has its own interface scaling and workspace toggles.

To maximize the application window: press Command + \.

To maximize a specific panel (Composition, Timeline, etc.): hover your cursor over the panel and press the tilde (~) key.

I am experiencing a problem with Adobe After Effects 2025 on my MacBook Air M2.

Issue:
When I click the macOS green Full Screen button, After Effects does not enter native macOS Full Screen mode. The window briefly reacts but immediately returns to normal window mode instead of becoming full screen.

Expected behavior:
After Effects should enter native macOS Full Screen mode like other applications.

Actual behavior:
The application remains in normal window mode and never enters Full Screen.

Troubleshooting already performed:
• Reset After Effects Preferences
• Reset Workspace
• Restarted my Mac
• Disabled and enabled Stage Manager
• Checked Mission Control settings
• Reinstalled After Effects and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Updated macOS and After Effects to the latest version

Other applications such as Safari can enter Full Screen normally, but this issue only occurs with After Effects.

Other macOS applications work normally, but After Effects refuses to switch to native Full Screen.
