after effects 23.4 no audio

Hello, I have a problem with after effects regarding audio. Simply put there is no sound, no music no audio from imported clips nothing. I have audio set to my headphones in ae and windows, ae is not muted in windows settings and all audio boxes are checked, yet there is still no sound. I also tired restarting pc and unistalling ae and changing the sound output, but so far nothing worked. Am I missing something? Can anyone please help me sort this out.
