After Effects crashing whenever using text effects

Hi, I've been trying to fix this issue on my own for the past few days and have met dead ends and I would really appreciate some help/insight.

I've been trying to use the two effects, Numbers and Timecode, which are both under the text category of the effects and presets menu. Unfortunately, whenever I do try to use these effects, AE freezes, turns into that white lifted screen, and just crashes, forcing me to force quit the session. 

So far I have tried:

- Trying after restarting the PC (Not just restart, but like a full shut down, turn back on, and then trying)

- Uninstalling and reinstalling After Effects 2024 and 2025 (I believe the versions I was using were 24.6.3 and 25.01)

- Running the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, and reinstalling AE

- Updating the GPU (My machine is using NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, Windows 11, 32GB RAM )

- Disabling third-party plugins in safe mode

- Checking off the "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels" while testing

When I tested if the effects would work, I had the lightest possible composition I could think of: adding a solid layer/adjustment layer and dropping the effects on top of it. 

Any way to fix it?
