After effects error: Cached Preview needs 2 or more frames to playback

I found multiple possible solutions to this bug (from clean cache to the change of renderer) but none one them worked. NONE.

Yesterday I spent 4 hours with adobe support but no solution was found.

This bug happens whenever I enable multiple effects to the timeline which multiple layers.

This bug happens to all M1 and Intel Macbooks of the company.

Can anybody find a way to fix it ?

A fix for the issue is now available in 24.2 betas and will be released with the 24.2 non-beta release.

Switching the puppet engine to legacy works, thanks for the workaround

Thanks for sharing. I can repro the issue. It appears to be related to the puppet effect causing an error during rendering and then AE doesn't have any frames to render, which causes that error to pop up. I've written it up as a bug for the team to look at. In the mean time, you can try switching the Puppet engine in the effect to legacy and see if that solves the issue for you.

Any chance you can share the project and assets so we can try to repro this on the engineering team?
