After Effects Fails to Load Plugins and Freezes on Loading Screen (Never Opens Up)

I have been having an issue with After Effects recently where it refuses to open. Everytime I try, it notifies me that a bunch of AEJuice plugins failed to load and then the loading screen gets stuck on "Cleaning up" and then crashes. I have tried resetting preferences, disabling plugins, running in safemode, and deleting the camera raw plugin as suggested in other forums, but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, are you sure that file path for media core you shared is correct? I wasn't able to find it on my mac.

I tried everything else that you mentioned though and no luck 😞

Sorry to hear about the crash. Try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled if you haven't tried already. If that doesn't help, try removing the AE Juice plug-in. Lastly you can try this: Go to the following location and remove (or move to a different location to keep a backup) all the files and folders except dummy.txt and try to launch After Effects.

Location on macOS - HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plugins/7.0/MediaCore

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Nishu
