After Effects hangs on document open; Force-quit and it opens. Rendering is also slow, stop, restart, normal again.

It seems the last two weeks AE has been hanging more and more. Hangs during document opening about half the time rn. Deleted cache, it helps but doesn’t solve. What solves is restarting, at least mostly and temporarily. I’m on mac os 15.7.5 (sequoia). AE is latest at 26.3.0 build 87

Hi robby999, sorry you're hitting this. I've seen a few similar reports and investigating issue.

To confirm it's the same root cause could you share:

1. Your Mac model (Intel, M1/M2/M3/M4/M5 chip, RAM).

2. Are you using any third-party plugins? If yes, which ones?

3. Does the hang happen on specific projects, or any project? If specific, what's in them (3D content, EXR sequences, heavy effects)?

4. Roughly how long after launch / how much work before it starts hanging or slowing down?
