After Effects UI Bug / Selections deselect immediately

Hey everyone,
Since this morning I’ve been encountering very unusual problems with my After Effects, Premiere Pro and parts of the Illustrator UI (haven’t tested any other apps).

Whenever I select a panel it immediately looses focus and deselects itself. Trying to rename any type of item or clicking on any type of value immediately looses focus as well.

I’ve tried the following to fix it and was wondering if anyone else here encountered the same issue and might know how to fix it.

• AE Reboot + System Reboot
• Safe mode
• Reset all preferences
• Remove plugins and extensions
• Changing to AE 25.5, 25.6, 25.1
• Deleted everything in ‘/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common’ (Fixed lots of cache problems in the past)
• Turning off PC for a longer period of time & unplugging power
• Updating MacOs 15.7.1 => 15.7.2
• Changing Keyboard & Mouse
• Checked and toggled all kinds of security, accessibility and after effects settings
• Full AE Uninstall and Install
• Full uninstall of all Creative Cloud content (CC Cleaner)
• Fresh Creative Cloud install
• Installing AE on a different user account on my mac

Issue occurs on:
Mac Mini M2 Pro
MacOS Sequoia 15.7.1 / 15.7.2
AE 25.1, 25.3, 25.4, 25.6

Macbook Pro M1 Max
MacOS Sequoia 15.5
AE 25.1

The two systems are not connected and the issue occured on both of them overnight.
