After Effects update not preserving auto-save settings

I and several other users noticed that our auto-save settings had been switched off

We don't know when this happened, and some users didn't experience this issue.  I'm on Windows 10, and I this was on AE v 23.3, which updated 22 days ago.  I wish I could tell you when I last saw it autosave, but I can't with any confidence.  In the past the settings have been preserved across multiple updates.

Default preferences have auto-save enabled so for it to be turned off, that would have had to have migrated from a previous version. You could try re-migrating them from the Preferences to see if the auto-save is enabled or disable after the migration.
