Alt+Shift Selection Broken in AE 2025

Can you do anything right for once please?

Thanks, I have been going back and forth between Premiere and AE - wish there was an option to have consistent commands between the programs - it's always annoying

In response to your kind and informative feedback here, I am not seeing any change in the behavior of Alt+Shift+Click (for Layer selection in the Timeine) going back to at least AE 17.7.1. It is non-functional. Cntrl+Click is the standard method AE has always supported to select multiple, non-contiguous Layers. 


If you are referring to another context or method for using Alt+Shift, I am unfortunately unable to psychically determine what that might be to assess if it has or hasn't changed.

Trying to select different layers by holding Alt+Shift, only Shift is working and it selects everything - cannot select individual layers like before - I have to hold shift and lasso layers to select multiple individual layers

In what way are you using Alt+Shift? What are the repro steps? What are your expectations? I don't know how to even start looking at this...
