Black video on export from AE and AME 23.0.1

Hello,

When trying to export from AE via AME (or render queue) I get a black screen. Audio comes out clean.

My computer is an old Macbook Pro running on 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM and Nvidia Gefore GT 750M 2GM. My specs are on the minimum req bracket, but since I can edit fine I don't understand why the exports now after the upgrade don't work.

I can see in AME that it doesn't even generate a preview.

My workaround for the moment is exporting an image sequence that I import back in Quicktime.

I've tested the same project on a iMac with the same versions of AE and AME and have no problems. So it's not a bug in may layers.

Help much appreciated!

PS. I've reinstalled. I've cleared the cache. I've tried rendering in Hardware and Software, allocated more Ram, I've tried copying the project pasting to another comp. I've tried other projects, other comps. Nothing.

Hello, I had this issue on all my Adobe apps, finally I discovered that changing the project settings in After Effects, Premiere and in the Media Encoder (below in the renderer box) to Software (instead of hardware) fixed all my issues.

My macbook is old (Macbook pro mid 2014, OS Big Sur) but at least I can continue working for a bit longer now. Thanks.

Hi @matyldad54002083,

Thank you for reporting this issue, and apologies that it hasn't been resolved with all the things you've tried already.

What Render Settings and Output Module are you using when you export directly from the Render Queue, and what settings are you using when sending Compositions to AME? Do you have the same issue when exporting sequences from Premiere Pro via AME?

Also, what version of macOS are you using on the older MacBook Pro?

Thanks again for reporting this issue and for any further information you can provide,
