Bug when pasting "non-breaking space" character into text layers

When pasting text with "non-breaking space" character (ASCII Code 160) After Effects interprets it as a line break when it should just be a space.

Here is a string you can use to test: "Try pasting this intro After Effects"

I'm currently on macOS 26 and AE 25.4 but I've encountered this bug for many years.

It seems like the forums remove this character when pasting so the test string does not reproduce the issue.
